Today we’ve decided to activate a hard reset on our blog. This means everything that came before it has been deleted. The reason we’ve made this move is that the content that we had was not or authentic voice and didn’t really sit well with our values. A company blog can serve many purposes, but for most companies the main reason it exists to to generate traffic so that it attracts more customers. This most often leads to swathes of blog articles being created for the primary purpose of getting found on Google instead of delivering real value and an authentic voice to the readers. And in turn, this leads to masses of me-too generic content that you’ve probably seen elsewhere. We don’t want to do that.
“The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.”
Carl Gustav Jung
At EverYellow, we want our blog to do some specific things:
- To involve you in our story. This means being transparent about our mission and what we stand for.
- To give authentic value. This means sharing ideas and experiences that have worked for us and could work for you.
- To keep you updated. This means being transparent about what we’re working on, what’s going well, and what isn’t.
Through publishing articles that follow these principles, we will feel much more at peace with what we are publishing and we hope to feel much more connected with our community.
Kindly
